SIP concluded 2025 with remarkable achievements in cultural development, blending iconic IPs with robust industrial growth and warmth in daily life.

SIP last year hosted a long list of cultural events that have enhanced its reputation at home and abroad and also brought substantial benefits to local residents. Nearly 20 evening concerts on the right bank of Jinji Lake became a cultural phenomenon. The EDC China by Yangcheng Lake drew 60,000 visitors, boosting consumption by over RMB1 billion. The 4th Suzhou Jinji Lake China-France Culture and Art Week greatly facilitated cross-cultural exchanges.

Additionally, a variety of sports events like the 2025 WTA 125 Suzhou Open, the 2025 ATP Challenger Tour ― Suzhou Open and the 1st SIP Football Super League added vitality to the local cultural ecosystem.

New facilities like Suzhou Museum of Contemporary Art have sprung up, offering both locals and tourists unique, distinctive cultural experiences.

SIP’s culture industry continued to rise, with six companies making the country’s list of major cultural exporters and two projects recognized as major cultural export projects. The project led by SIP-based ORI Animation to produce and promote overseas an animated micro drama on cross-cultural exchanges was recently declared by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China as one of the key international cooperation projects under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

The Suzhou Yangcheng Peninsula Theme Park, Lakefront 158, Chongyun Lane and “Suzhou Eye” Ferris wheel opened after renovation, enhancing SIP’s appeal as a cultural tourism destination.

Last year, SIP also initiated the Golden Autumn ? Three Lakes Carnival program, integrating culture, business, tourism, sports and exhibition. During the carnival, the Jinji Lake Scenic Area and the Yangchenghu Peninsula Tourist Resort received 9.58 million visitors, up 10.58% year-on-year.

Water-based recreation has become a new highlight of SIP’s cultural tourism. Activities like cruise tours, yachting and paddleboarding have attracted lots of people.
